The Minister of State for Environment, Dr Iziaq Adekunle Salako, highlighted Nigeria's capacity and international support to become a global leader in green hydrogen production, offering a cleaner and healthier future for Nigerians. Green hydrogen, produced using renewable energy sources like solar and wind, is seen as a solution to Nigeria's energy crisis, with potential to diversify energy supply and lead in global decarbonisation efforts. The government is committed to creating an enabling environment for green hydrogen development, aiming to drive job creation, poverty eradication, economic growth, and environmental health.
