The Ceara government has entered into a partnership with CGN Brasil Energia, a company belonging to the CGN Group in China, to collaborate on solar and wind energy projects as well as the development of the green hydrogen chain. Governor Elmano de Freitas emphasized the significance of this partnership, especially amidst the renewed international relations between Brazil and China and the substantial investments in renewable energy production in Ceara. The signed memorandum includes plans for an offshore wind project of 1,000 MW capacity and solar and/or wind projects of up to 400 MW capacity. Additionally, CGNBE intends to establish a pilot green hydrogen plant alongside these projects. During the signing ceremony, CGNBE CEO Yao Zhigang expressed gratitude for the state's support and highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership.
