Essar Energy Transition has partnered with ENKA Inaat ve Sanayi A.S. to construct the HPP1 hydrogen production plant at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. This project, part of the HyNet Cluster, will boast a production capacity of 350MW and has the ambitious target of capturing 600,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, which is equivalent to removing 250,000 cars from the road. By working towards 4GW of low carbon hydrogen capacity, the initiative aims to reduce the carbon footprint of industrial activities in the North West, ensuring the preservation of numerous jobs and fostering economic growth. ENKA's selection for the project, given its strong track record in executing intricate projects worldwide, underscores the commitment to timely and high-quality completion of HPP1. With ENKA's expertise and reputation in engineering and construction, the collaboration signifies a significant step towards achieving sustainable energy practices and environmental goals in the region.
