The European Commission has granted the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) Seal to 130 projects that meet quality criteria set by EU funding programmes. Among these, 39 hydrogen-related projects received the label, with a significant portion focusing on ammonia and e-methanol production, renewable hydrogen, and hydrogen-power loader manufacturing. The Innovation Fund Call 2023 awarded €1.6 billion to hydrogen projects, aligning with the overall emphasis on hydrogen initiatives. The STEP Seal not only adds visibility and access to advisory services for projects but also aids in securing funding from EU budget instruments. With 48% of STEP Seal projects having a Hydrogen Europe member, the organization's influence in promoting sustainable technology innovation is evident.
