The project is set to be a green hydrogen production plant operating on a build-own-operate (BOO) basis, with a focus on supplying green hydrogen to the specialty chemical sector for the next two decades. The collaboration between Gensol Engineering and Matrix Gas & Renewables, both companies backed by common promoters, aims to capitalize on their respective strengths to advance in the Green Hydrogen, Green Steel, and Green Ammonia sectors.
Anmol Jaggi, Managing Director of Gensol Engineering, expressed pride in developing this pioneering project that aligns with the Government of India's initiatives to promote Hydrogen Valleys. Chirag Kotecha, Whole-time Director of Matrix Gas & Renewables, highlighted their commitment to contributing to India's net-zero targets through the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The project is supported by National Chemicals Laboratories in Pune and aims to establish Green Hydrogen generation concepts, applications, and research facilities.
The companies were selected as the best bidders to set up the Green Hydrogen Generation plant through the Electrolysis route, emphasizing their expertise in the field. This initiative not only promotes sustainability and renewable energy but also contributes to India's overall environmental goals. Gensol Engineering, known for its EPC and solar advisory services, reported a significant increase in its consolidated net profit and sales, further reflecting the positive trajectory of the company's operations and growth in the renewable energy sector.
