H2 Energy Europe AG and ONTRAS Gastransport GmbH have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a green hydrogen transport network within the European Hydrogen Backbone (EHB) initiative. The partnership intends to transport green hydrogen from Denmark to German industrial areas, supporting the decarbonization efforts of hard-to-abate industries such as chemical manufacturing, steel production, and power generation. ONTRAS's expertise in gaseous energy transportation will play a crucial role in repurposing pipelines for hydrogen transport, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The agreement between H2 Energy Europe and ONTRAS aims to define the technical and commercial measures required for the efficient transportation of hydrogen within Germany.
