Hydrogen Future Industries PLC (HFI) has announced a significant step towards developing green hydrogen technology in Ireland through a licensing and territory agreement valued at up to €2.25 million. HFI's subsidiary, HFI IP Holdings Limited, has granted Hydrogen Future Industries (Ireland) Limited an exclusive territory license for 20 years. The agreement includes a license fee and equity interest for HFI, with plans to develop a pilot green hydrogen production system in Ireland to showcase low-cost hydrogen production. HFI's system, featuring advanced wind turbines and electrolysers with a smart hydraulic drive, aims to enhance energy production efficiency and cater to remote off-grid communities. The Irish government's focus on decarbonisation and energy security aligns with HFI's objectives, presenting opportunities for government support and funding to accelerate business development in the country.
