Hy2gen Canada Inc, a subsidiary of Hy2gen AG, has been selected by Quebec’s Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie to receive an allocation of electricity for the production of green hydrogen in Baie-Comeau. The project, known as Courant, will involve the construction of a green ammonia production plant, with plans to commence construction in the second half of 2026 and start production by 2029. This project marks a significant step forward for Hy2gen, as it expands its green energy production beyond Germany. The allocation of electricity from Hydro-Québec will ensure a continuous power supply for the electrolysis process that converts water into oxygen and hydrogen, indicating a move towards sustainable fuel production.
