Hyundai is gearing up to produce a new hydrogen fuel cell vehicle named Initium, which is set to be revealed at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show. The Hyundai Initium will be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system, featuring a 201 horsepower motor and an impressive range of 404 miles on a single tank. One of the standout features of the Initium will be its bidirectional charging capabilities, allowing vehicle-to-home and vehicle-to-load functionalities. Hyundai officials claim that the power stored in the Initium will be sufficient to sustain a typical Korean home for around 10 days. This new vehicle is poised to replace Hyundai's current Nexo FCEV crossover, offering a more SUV-like design that emphasizes both robustness and safety. SangYup Lee, Hyundai's design boss, described the Initium as a product of pushing the limits of steel formability to create a work of art.
