The North of England and Saudi Arabia are embarking on a groundbreaking project to launch the world's first graphene-enriched carbon fibre plant, creating over 4,000 jobs and focusing on green energy initiatives. This initiative is part of the UK Prime Minister's Plan for Change, aiming to drive investment and job creation across regions and strengthen ties with key partners like Saudi Arabia. Additionally, a £785 million investment by HYCAP will support the development of hydrogen mobility clusters in the UK, furthering the goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2060 and creating over 1,000 jobs. Collaborative efforts between the UK and Saudi Arabia include the establishment of a Joint International Institute for Clean Hydrogen, backed by leading universities and aiming to advance clean energy expertise and skills. Further collaborations in cleantech, carbon capture technology, and sustainable cement production are expected to create thousands of jobs and bring significant investment to both countries, fostering economic growth and sustainability.
