The collaboration involves Lhyfe's production and supply of green hydrogen through water electrolysis powered by renewable energy sources, coupled with Fives providing optimized and safe solutions for utilizing hydrogen in industrial combustion processes. This initiative aims to expedite the energy transition by enabling the adoption of hydrogen in process industries without extensive equipment modifications. The utilization of hydrogen in industrial processes is highlighted as a promising avenue for reducing carbon footprint. For instance, the adoption of hydrogen in a secondary aluminium furnace can lead to a substantial annual decrease in CO2 emissions. The partnership between Lhyfe and Fives targets industries such as metals, glass, cement, and specific heating processes in Europe and North America, emphasizing the pivotal role of hydrogen in advancing sustainability in these sectors.
