Lhyfe, a company listed on EPA:LHYFE, has announced the receipt of an €11 million grant for establishing a green hydrogen production facility in Vaggeryd, Sweden. The funding comes as support from Klimatklivet's programme, which is backed by the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the European Union. This 10 MW site is projected to deliver about 4.4 tonnes of green hydrogen daily, primarily catering to the mobility and industrial sectors. Positioned strategically between major cities like Stockholm and Gothenburg, the site aims to address the rising need for hydrogen in various sectors. The project is a part of the efforts to enhance sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, the subsidy covering a significant portion of the development and construction expenses underscores the commitment to promoting green energy initiatives in Sweden. Production at the site is anticipated to commence in 2027, contributing to the country's transition towards cleaner energy sources.
