Lhyfe has commenced the construction of its largest green hydrogen production site in Le Cheylas, France, marking a significant step towards sustainable energy production. Initially planned to produce 2 tonnes a day, the site's capacity was doubled to 10 MW to meet the growing demand for hydrogen in various industries. Positioned strategically between Grenoble and Chambéry, the site in the Grésivaudan valley is expected to cater to existing and future hydrogen users, including sectors like microelectronics, industry, and chemicals. The decision to increase capacity aligns with the site's potential to serve industrial clusters like the Roches-Roussillon chemical platform and the Chemical Valley in Lyon. Additionally, with the upcoming Winter Olympics in the French Alps in 2030, the site presents another avenue for growth. The project has secured support from the European Just Transition Fund and forms part of the IMAGHyNE initiative, enhancing its sustainability and regional impact. Furthermore, Lhyfe's collaboration with HYmpulsion for supplying hydrogen stations in the Alps underscores the site's versatility in catering to mobility needs. With a strong focus on green energy and sustainability, Lhyfe's expansion in Le Cheylas is set to boost hydrogen production and contribute to the development of a robust industrial ecosystem.
