The Hangjinqi Wind and Solar Power Hydrogen Production Integrated Project by PowerChina, approved by the autonomous region, has received a green light for implementation. Led by Hangjinqi Juyuan New Energy Co., Ltd., the project involves a substantial investment of around 1.122 billion yuan. Situated in Duguitala Town on a vast area of about 66 square kilometers, this initiative will focus on developing a new energy capacity of 200,000 kW, including 135,000 kW of wind power and 65,000 kW of PV. Integral to the project are the hydrogen production station and storage tanks with an impressive capacity of 40,000 kW/40,000 kWh, covering an area of roughly 200 mu. Construction is slated to kick off in July 2025, with operations expected to commence in October 2026. Once fully operational, the project is anticipated to generate an output value of 130 million yuan, yielding profits and taxes of 19 million yuan while creating more than 100 job opportunities. Beyond the economic aspects, it is envisioned to play a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions, bolstering energy security, and fostering a healthier ecological environment.
