Stargate Hydrogen, a manufacturer of electrolysers for green hydrogen production, has unveiled their latest innovation, the Stellar 100 Alkaline Electrolysis Stack, during the World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam. This development marks a significant step towards reducing industrial CO2 emissions by harnessing green hydrogen produced from water using renewable electricity. The Stellar 100, manufactured in Europe, has a remarkable production capacity of up to 100Nm3/h, equivalent to powering a car for 1000 km every hour. Collaborating with leading European suppliers and validated by ZSW, a prestigious German research institute, the stack has demonstrated exceptional efficiency with a stack-level efficiency of 80%. Stargate's COO, Jan Grolig, expressed pride in the collective effort behind the innovation, highlighting the avoidance of known issues in current alkaline stack designs. The first deployments of Stellar 100 are planned for a 1 MW project in Estonia and another in Germany, signaling a growing demand for sustainable hydrogen solutions in the market. Stargate Hydrogen focuses on developing turnkey solutions for green hydrogen production, contributing to the global shift towards cleaner energy sources.
