The Ministerial meeting of the 11th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and 3rd Green Energy Advisory Council took place in Baku, showcasing the strong commitment of the EU and Azerbaijan to energy partnership. The Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council highlighted the success of Azerbaijani gas delivery to EU Member States, emphasizing the role of the SGC in energy supply diversification. Discussions focused on infrastructure developments, financing conditions, and initiatives to reduce methane emissions and promote green energy. The Green Energy Advisory Council praised Azerbaijan for hosting COP29 and discussed energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. Minister Shahbazov and Commissioner Jørgensen emphasized the importance of energy security diversification and the shift to cleaner energy. The meeting also included talks on the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor Project and an EU-Azerbaijan business roundtable on offshore wind energy development in the Caspian Sea.
