The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded the first hydrogen hub in California to the Alliance for Renewable Clean Hydrogen Energy Systems (ARCHES) as part of the Regional Hydrogen Hubs program. ARCHES aims to focus on decarbonizing the transportation sector, including heavy-duty trucking and port operations, through electrolytic and biogenic hydrogen production. This initiative is seen as a critical step in achieving U.S. decarbonization goals and boosting the clean hydrogen market.
