American Airlines has signed a conditional purchase agreement with ZeroAvia, an innovator in clean aviation, for 100 hydrogen-electric engines to power regional jet aircraft with zero inflight emissions except for water vapor. This partnership follows American's initial investment in ZeroAvia in 2022 and its participation in the company's Series C financing round.
