The extension doubled the facility's size by incorporating a neighboring unit, with the new wing specifically dedicated to training in hybrid, electric vehicle (EV), and hydrogen technologies. Neil Fryer, PHINIA's vice president, praised the facility for equipping technicians with the necessary skills for effective repairs. The Academy features a new open-plan workshop, interactive classrooms, and an impressive lineup of vehicles, including a Tesla Model S and hydrogen internal combustion powertrain rig for hands-on hydrogen training tasks. Additionally, a 16-seat conference room with glass-fronted walls offers a panoramic view of the workshop, complemented by a product showroom and a specialized recording studio.
