Explore Plant & Transport Solutions has entered an agreement with Hydrogen Vehicle Systems (HVS) to incorporate 30 hydrogen electric tractor units into their fleet. Founded in 2015, Explore is a specialist supplier of transport and plant hire services to various industry sectors. The partnership will include a comprehensive support package, ensuring the successful integration of the hydrogen vehicles. Chris Gatheridge, operations director at Explore, expressed that the new units will significantly reduce the company's carbon footprint, reinforcing their dedication to embracing green technology. On the other hand, John McLeister, chief commercial officer for HVS, emphasized the advantages of their zero-emission fuel cell technology for fleet operators, providing features like increased payload capacity, extended range, and quick refuelling to facilitate the decarbonization efforts of logistics operations. Both parties are enthusiastic about the collaboration, aiming to drive sustainability and innovation in the transportation industry.
