The Minns Labor Government in Australia has revealed plans for the construction of NSW's first Hydrogen Centre of Excellence, aimed at training plumbers and gas fitters to meet the demands of the hydrogen industry. The $25 million investment will enable the training of 8,250 workers in its initial five years, supporting job creation for apprentices and construction workers. The facility, to be located in Sydney and operated by the Plumbing Industry Climate Action Centre (PICAC), will provide practical training on hydrogen equipment alongside traditional plumbing skills. Premier Chris Minns highlighted the role of this initiative in creating local jobs and attracting investments to the state.
