The Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) deputy project director emphasized the importance of collaborating with educational institutions to develop the specific skills required for the project. The company's Socio-Economic Enhancement Development (SEED) program, inspired by the successful Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP), is designed to cultivate a skilled local workforce and establish a Sarawak-based supply chain to support KUTS operations. A significant aspect of SEED is the establishment of an assembly plant for hydrogen-powered Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) vehicles, aiming to ensure local industry players are well-equipped to support the project. The recent Hydrogen & Tech Safari 4.0 event in Miri highlighted the company's commitment to empowering local talent by engaging over 500 students from 10 local secondary schools, showcasing the future of sustainable public transport in Sarawak.
