Doosan Bobcat, a company in South Korea, recently made significant strides in expanding the supply of hydrogen forklifts in Gwangyang City. The company signed a three-way business agreement with Gwangyang City and Logis Pool to collaborate on the hydrogen city project. Gwangyang City, recognized as a hydrogen city by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, included the hydrogen forklift supply project in its plans. Through this partnership, Doosan Bobcat will work on hydrogen forklift supply, information provision, demand development, and hydrogen charging demonstrations. Gwangyang City will support licensing administration and infrastructure development, while Korea Logistics Pool will handle the distribution of hydrogen forklifts and rental services. Doosan Bobcat's executive director expressed the company's commitment to supporting the government's carbon neutrality policy and the hydrogen economy. Additionally, the company successfully commercialized the first hydrogen forklift in Korea and received approval to establish exclusive hydrogen charging stations for forklifts, contributing to regulatory reform efforts. The collaboration between Doosan Bobcat, Gwangyang City, and Logis Pool highlights a shared goal of promoting environmental sustainability, carbon neutrality, and the growth of the hydrogen economy in South Korea.
