The announcement was made during a visit by Andalusia's president to tech companies in Beijing. Hygreen's new manufacturing facility in Malaga is expected to generate 1,000 jobs, contributing significantly to the local economy. Additionally, an agreement with Kemtecnia in Huelva involves a massive investment to produce 5,000 megawatts of green hydrogen for markets in Europe and America. President Moreno emphasized the strategic importance of developing green hydrogen technology in the region to position Andalucía as a European leader in this sector. During the China visit, discussions included renewable energy initiatives, particularly in the automotive sector. President Moreno highlighted the importance of attracting Chinese tourists to Andalucía throughout the year, recognizing their significant purchasing power. The Andalusian delegation's presence in China aims to strengthen trade relations, attract foreign investments, and promote Andalucía as a desirable tourist destination in the Asian market.
