At an event hosted by Crisil, Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, announced plans to invest more than $100 billion in energy transition projects and manufacturing capabilities to support green energy generation. The conglomerate will focus on building solar parks and wind farms, along with manufacturing electrolyzers for green hydrogen production. Adani emphasized the importance of green hydrogen in decarbonizing industries and transportation, stating that the energy transition sector will reshape the global energy landscape. The Adani Group is also set to establish the world's largest single-site renewable energy park in Khavda, Kutch, Gujarat, with a capacity of 30 GW by 2030. Adani highlighted the potential for renewable energy to create millions of new jobs in India, particularly in sectors like solar, wind, energy storage, hydrogen, EV charging stations, and grid infrastructure. Additionally, the group plans to expand its digital infrastructure, focusing on data centers to support AI workloads and the digital revolution. Adani stressed the importance of green energy in powering data centers, which are crucial for digital transformation. By 2030, the Adani Group anticipates a significant increase in green energy demand for AI data centers and aims to deliver gigawatt-scale green AI data centers to meet this demand.
