However, for the hydrogen economy to materialize effectively by 2030, it is crucial for Europe to shift from merely acknowledging hydrogen in the energy mix to actively developing it. The call for a focused hydrogen implementation agenda with clear budgetary allocations, timelines, and strategic partnerships was made, stressing the need for public investments to de-risk clean solutions and maintain global competitiveness for European industries. Additionally, the importance of establishing hydrogen partnerships to ensure supply security and contribute to international development goals and climate diplomacy was highlighted.
