Air Liquide has announced an investment of EUR 50 million in a new hydrogen packaging and delivery supply chain along the Seine Axis in France. The supply chain will facilitate the refueling of hydrogen vehicles from Le Havre to the Ile-de-France region, supporting the growth of low-carbon mobility. This initiative is part of a larger effort to decarbonize industry and transportation in regions like Normandy and Ile-de-France. The packaging site will be powered by renewable hydrogen from the Air Liquide Normand'Hy electrolyzer, which has a capacity of 200 MW and is currently under construction. Air Liquide's investment will play a significant role in the transition to cleaner energy sources, especially in the transportation sector. By leveraging partnerships, such as the one with HysetCo for supplying renewable hydrogen to their vehicle fleet, Air Liquide aims to dedicate a substantial portion of its production capacity to support decarbonized transportation along the Seine Axis. This investment will not only benefit the environment by reducing carbon emissions but also promote the use of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source for various types of vehicles, including taxis, corporate fleets, buses, and trucks.
