Gold Hydrogen's Ramsay Project Reveals High-Purity Helium Potential
Key Ideas
  • Helium purity levels of up to 36.9% confirmed at the Ramsay Project in South Australia.
  • Successful flow testing program achieved primary objective of obtaining gas and fluid samples for analysis.
  • Significant potential identified for commercial production of natural hydrogen and helium.
  • Plans for future drilling to optimize extraction of estimated 1.3-billion kg of natural hydrogen and 41-billion cubic feet of helium.
Gold Hydrogen Ltd's flow testing program at the Ramsay Project in South Australia has revealed high-purity helium content of up to 36.9% at the wellhead. The company successfully obtained gas and fluid samples for compositional and isotopic analysis, sending them to third-party laboratories for evaluation. The recovery of natural hydrogen and helium at the surface was also achieved, with samples dispatched for further analysis. Notably, the project has shown significant potential to be a commercially viable natural hydrogen and helium producer. Recent studies have confirmed world-leading helium purity levels and identified target zones for additional drilling. The discovery of a 180-metre thick helium-bearing section in the Kulpara Dolomite zone and the highest helium purities ever sampled in groundwater in Australia have further highlighted the project's potential. Gold Hydrogen remains optimistic about the future commercialization of this rare natural hydrogen and helium resource. The company is now gearing up for the next drilling campaign, focusing on optimizing the extraction of the estimated 1.3-billion kg of natural hydrogen and 41-billion cubic feet of helium resources at the Ramsay Project.
