GTT Strategic Ventures, the investment fund of the GTT Group supporting sustainable tech champions, has participated in a €4 million financing round to enhance CryoCollect, a French engineering company focused on gas handling technologies. This investment, alongside Engie New Ventures, aims to boost the energy transition through innovative startups. CryoCollect, founded in 2017, specializes in gas treatment technologies for various gases, including biomethane, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen. They have developed expertise in capturing, purifying, and liquefying carbon dioxide from anaerobic digestion processes, enabling the production of liquid biogenic CO2. This eco-friendly CO2 can replace fossil fuels in industrial processes like food & beverage and synthetic fuel production. The investment from GTT and Engie will propel CryoCollect's advancements in sustainable gas production, with a focus on bioLNG and bioCO2 for low-carbon fuel production in the maritime sector. Philippe Berterottière, GTT's chairman, highlights the alignment of this investment with GTT's dedication to innovative technologies for a sustainable world.
