Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India has called upon investors to consider investing in the country's energy sector, highlighting the numerous possibilities it offers, especially in the realm of renewable energy. With ambitious targets such as achieving 500GW of renewable energy and producing 5 million green hydrogen outputs by 2030, alongside launching fresh bidding rounds for oil and gas assets, India presents lucrative investment opportunities. Speaking at the India Energy Week 2025 (IEW’25) virtually, Modi emphasized the importance of investors in realizing India's energy ambitions, stating that they are not only participating in an event but are crucial to India's growth trajectory. Modi reiterated that experts believe the 21st century belongs to India, emphasizing the country's role in driving both its own growth and global economic expansion. He outlined India's energy strategy based on five pillars: harnessing resources, encouraging innovation, leveraging economic strength, ensuring political stability, and inviting investments.
