Colorado Governor Jared Polis announced $31.7 million in grants to support the state's transition to electric vehicles, including funding for new vehicles and infrastructure improvements. Additionally, the city of Medicine Hat in Alberta is transitioning its transit fleet to zero-emissions with a combined investment from the city and the government of Canada. Through the Zero Emission Transit Fund, the government of Canada is contributing C$158,493, while Medicine Hat is contributing C$39,623 to examine the feasibility of fleet electrification and plan for a cleaner transit system. Collaboration with the Canadian Urban Transit Research and Innovation Consortium (CUTRIC) is pivotal in advancing the transition to zero-emission buses. CUTRIC, with support from the government of Canada, is investing C$10 million over five years to help transit operators enhance their readiness for electrification.
