Odisha showcased its investment potential at the Utkarsh Odisha Conclave 2025 in Bhubaneswar, attracting significant interest from investors both domestically and globally. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi highlighted the state's attractiveness for industrial development, revealing that Odisha had received investment proposals surpassing Rs 4.5 lakh crore on the first day of the event. This success was attributed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's support and the state's strategic positioning as a gateway to Southeast Asia. Noteworthy investments included Adani Group's substantial commitment, JSW's steel plant project, Vedanta's plans for an aluminium refinery, and Jindal Steel and Power's expansion initiative. The event, organized in collaboration with CII, witnessed a strong participation of industry leaders, with discussions revolving around renewable energy, technology, and manufacturing sectors. Odisha's focus on renewable energy, particularly with the emphasis on National Green Hydrogen and Solar Power Missions, indicates the state's proactive approach towards sustainable development and innovation.
