Spain announced a significant partnership with the Envision Group from China to construct a $1 billion plant dedicated to manufacturing machinery essential for green hydrogen production. The project will focus on building electrolysers, machinery crucial for separating hydrogen from water, with construction set to commence by June 2026. Envision, in collaboration with private partners, will fund the initiative, with the exact location within Spain yet to be disclosed. In addition to the manufacturing plant, Envision plans to invest in green hydrogen production and the entire green hydrogen value chain. The memorandum of understanding also highlights Envision's interest in developing industries like fertilisers and biochemicals.
