Torrent Power Ltd., a key player in India's power sector, has reaffirmed its commitment to a green and sustainable future by pledging significant investments in renewable energy projects at the 4th edition of RE-Invest in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. The company submitted two 'Shapath Patras' to achieve 10 GW of installed Renewable Energy capacity by 2030 with an investment of INR 57,000 Crore, and to establish a 100,000 KTPA Green Ammonia production facility with an investment of INR 7,200 Crore. These initiatives are set to create employment opportunities for thousands of individuals and advance green energy solutions in alignment with national goals. Torrent Power is also focusing on Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production to support decarbonization efforts and is exploring Pumped Storage Project sites for energy storage solutions. With an existing capacity of 4.4 GWp and ongoing development of additional renewable projects, Torrent Power aims to increase its total generation capacity to around 7.5 GWp.
