Community Transit is already making progress in sustainability by transitioning to a zero emissions fleet to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. In the interim, they are using R99 diesel fuel as a lower-impact solution. Additionally, the agency is focusing on long-range financial planning to ensure sustainable operations and infrastructure investments. Workforce sustainability initiatives are also a priority to enhance recruitment and retention.
