Mabanaft announces its participation as a founding member of the TransHyDE 2.0 initiative, aimed at advancing the European hydrogen infrastructure. The initiative, building on the success of the national hydrogen flagship project TransHyDE, expands its focus to cover various hydrogen implementation platforms and research aspects. Philipp Kroepels, Director New Energy at Mabanaft, expresses the group's commitment to providing clean hydrogen and its derivatives to customers through collaboration with various stakeholders. This effort aligns with Mabanaft's work in developing import infrastructure for ammonia and hydrogen, as well as retrofitting tanks for methanol import and distribution in Hamburg, a major European port city.
Supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, TransHyDE 2.0 boasts twelve founding members from research, industry, and business sectors. The initiative aims to drive the development of a sustainable hydrogen economy in Europe by fostering collaboration between industry and academia. With a focus on innovation, sustainability, and decarbonisation, TransHyDE 2.0 invites stakeholders to join the launch event on 6 May 2025 and actively contribute to shaping the future of hydrogen infrastructure.
