The project aims to supply green power specifically for the production of green hydrogen and green ammonia in Mundra, Gujarat. With a cost of INR 2,800 crore, the project is scheduled for completion within 36 months. The initiative involves enhancing the Navinal electrical substation by installing two large 765/400kV transformers and constructing a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line to connect to the Bhuj substation. Additionally, the project will lead to the incorporation of 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity, significantly bolstering AESL's overall transmission infrastructure. The competitive bidding process, under the oversight of PFC Consulting, facilitated AESL's successful bid for the project. This win marks the sixth order secured by AESL in the current fiscal year, expanding their order book to INR 57,561 crore. The project not only highlights AESL's commitment to renewable energy but also signifies a significant step towards green hydrogen and ammonia production in the region.
