Adani Energy Solutions, a company under the Adani Group, has secured a significant ₹2,800 crore green hydrogen transmission project in Mundra, Gujarat. The project aims to provide green electrons to facilitate the production of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia. This initiative includes upgrading the Navinal electrical substation with 765/400kV transformers and constructing a 75 km long 765kV double-circuit line to connect to the Bhuj substation. The additional infrastructure will enhance AESL's network by adding 150 cKM of transmission lines and 3,000 MVA of transformation capacity. This project marks AESL's sixth order for the fiscal year, boosting its total order book to around ₹57,561 crore. The project was secured through a tariff-based competitive bidding mechanism, with AESL taking over the project SPV on March 20, 2025. Additionally, AESL acquired 100% equity shares of Mundra I Transmission Limited to further support the green hydrogen/ammonia potential in Mundra, Gujarat. The positive news reflected in the market with Adani Green Energy's shares trading 4.15% higher. Despite a previous 8% decline in 2025, this project signifies a strategic move towards renewable energy and infrastructure development in the region.
