AM Green Ammonia, based in Hyderabad, has made significant strides towards sustainable energy with its Kakinada project in Andhra Pradesh. This project, part of a larger vision to produce 5 million tonnes of green ammonia annually by 2030, involves the conversion of an existing urea plant into a green ammonia facility. The project, with an estimated investment of Rs 12,500 crore, is set to commence production in the second half of 2026. Certified by CertifHy for compliance with EU RFNBO standards, the facility in Kakinada will mainly cater to European markets. Partnerships with key industry players have been secured, and a fixed-price power purchase agreement with NTPC ensures a reliable power supply. The Company's access to carbon-free power and manufacturing partnerships for electrolyzers further solidify its commitment to green energy.
