During the Australia–India Annual Summit in Brazil, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of the India–Australia Renewable Energy Partnership. This partnership is hailed as a significant milestone in the cooperation between the two nations in the realms of climate and energy. The initiative outlines a comprehensive framework encompassing eight key areas for collaboration, with a strong focus on renewable energy and sustainability. The Australian Federal Government highlighted that current joint projects on solar PV and green hydrogen are already in motion and will be further strengthened under this partnership. Additionally, the two countries will engage in a new 1.5 Track Dialogue to delve into and define cooperation in the remaining six areas.
