Through a synthesis of literature reviews and case studies like 'HydroChain' and 'H2-Share,' the article evaluates how blockchain can revolutionize hydrogen production, storage, and distribution systems. The findings suggest that blockchain has the capacity to enhance traceability, certification, and transparency in the hydrogen supply chain. Additionally, it can enable peer-to-peer energy trading platforms, improving market dynamics and operational efficiency. However, challenges such as scalability, interoperability, and regulatory frameworks pose significant hurdles to widespread adoption. Overcoming these obstacles requires a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach among stakeholders to develop scalable blockchain solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing technologies. Successful implementation of blockchain in the hydrogen sector could not only advance towards net-zero emissions but also serve as a model for sustainable development goals across the energy industry.
