The auction, set to open on Friday, will offer 1,700 tonnes of green hydrogen annually for purchase by companies interested in utilizing it for any purpose, both domestically and internationally. The project, known as Hysencia, will leverage 35MW of electrolyser capacity, 39MW of solar power, and a 10MW grid connection to produce hydrogen, with operations slated to commence in 2027. DH2 Energy successfully secured funding for the project through the EHB auction, positioning itself to receive €0.39/kg in funding. Despite prevailing high prices for green hydrogen, DH2 Energy's Managing Director, Marcos Lópex-Brea Baquero, expressed optimism that the auction will drive demand and play a key role in establishing a robust market for renewable hydrogen.
