Donaldson Company, Inc., a global leader in filtration products, has announced a partnership with Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) for their hydrogen fuel cell project. This collaboration involves incorporating Donaldson's advanced air filter technology into the next-generation Freightliner SuperTruck III, part of the SuperTruck program initiated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions in long-haul trucks. The SuperTruck III project focuses on developing a cutting-edge hydrogen fuel cell truck demonstrator, marking a significant shift towards cleaner transportation solutions. DTNA has received $26 million from the DOE for this initiative. Keith Bechtum, vice president of OEM sales at Donaldson, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with DTNA and the SuperTruck III program, highlighting their dedication to supporting innovative filtration solutions.
