Essar Energy Transition (EET) Hydrogen has signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with ENKA for the development of the HPP1 low carbon hydrogen production plant at the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire. The UK Government's endorsement of HPP1 as the first large-scale low carbon hydrogen project in the HyNet Cluster demonstrates a significant milestone in the UK's hydrogen industry. With a capacity of 350MW, HPP1 aims to capture 600,000 tonnes of CO2 annually, contributing to the decarbonisation of industrial operations and aligning with the HyNet Cluster's objectives.
