ESB and Hynamics UK have signed an agreement to collaborate on the development of the Barry Hydrogen Project at the Port of Barry in Wales. The project aims to produce and supply green hydrogen for industrial operations around the port, focusing on decarbonization efforts. The strategic location at the port, designated for the Clean Growth Hub, aligns with the vision for sustainable growth and decarbonization in the region. Under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the companies plan to formalize agreements by 2024 to secure financing and expertise for the project's development phase. ESB, a leading energy company in Ireland, is actively involved in renewable energy projects in the UK as part of its Net Zero by 2040 Strategy. This partnership signifies a commitment to advancing green hydrogen technology and supporting the global shift towards cleaner energy sources.
