Hyundai Motor has announced a strategic collaboration with Ulsan City and Guangzhou City to boost the transition towards a hydrogen society in South Korea and China. The agreement involves the formation of a 'hydrogen industry consultative body' to drive cooperative efforts in developing a robust hydrogen ecosystem. This partnership will facilitate the sharing of successful case studies, exploring demonstration projects, and conducting collaborative research initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of hydrogen technology. Additionally, Hyundai Motor is intensifying its ties with Ulsan City by integrating hydrogen fuel cell systems into various applications such as ships, trams, power generation, and forklifts. Notably, the initiative includes the introduction of the first hydrogen tractor pilot project in Korea in the coming year. Furthermore, Hyundai Motor's initiative, 'HTWO Guangzhou,' the first overseas hydrogen fuel cell system production facility, aims to capture the Chinese hydrogen market and expand globally. The facility has already supplied hydrogen fuel cell systems for vehicles in Guangzhou and plans significant growth in the upcoming years. During the signing ceremony, Hyundai Motor President Jang Jae-hoon expressed the company's commitment to acting as a bridge between Ulsan and Guangzhou, aiming to elevate both cities to become leading global hydrogen hubs. The collaborative efforts between Hyundai Motor, Ulsan City, and Guangzhou City signify a significant step towards promoting sustainable energy solutions and advancing hydrogen technology on an international scale.
