Political leaders globally are feeling the heat to transition to more sustainable energy sources to combat climate change. In response to this pressure, many nations have unveiled ambitious green hydrogen plans to help achieve their Net Zero targets. For instance, the UK Government recently announced a £21m boost to fast-track low carbon hydrogen projects in key regions like Aberdeen, Tees Valley, and Suffolk. This financial injection aims to support the development of green hydrogen technology and infrastructure. Additionally, the government has chosen 11 green hydrogen production projects, totaling 125MW, to receive a portion of the £2bn in production subsidies. These initiatives mark a significant step towards reducing carbon emissions and promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources on a larger scale.
