HyIron has successfully produced the first green hydrogen molecules at its Namibian facility, operating the largest 12 MW electrolyzer in Southern Africa within a smart microgrid. The company aims to achieve zero-emissions iron production and is in discussions with Chinese companies for future decarbonization projects in transportation. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) has secured a substantial amount for its Murchison Green Hydrogen project in Western Australia, which focuses on producing green ammonia for export to Asian markets using 6 GW of renewable energy sources. Enoc Group in Dubai has signed an agreement with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to explore green hydrogen-powered mobility solutions, which includes providing green hydrogen fuel for hydrogen city buses and conducting a feasibility study on hydrogen refueling. In Italy, Res Integra is installing a 700-ton-per-year electrolyzer system in Siracusa using innovative PEM electrolyzer technology powered by solar energy to produce green hydrogen for industrial decarbonization. Nel Hydrogen has also secured a purchase order for a 2.5 MW containerized PEM unit for the Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub in Scotland, contributing to the development of a green hydrogen production, storage, and distribution facility.
