Hygreen Energy, a global electrolyzer manufacturer and hydrogen technology developer, has successfully delivered a 25-Megawatt electrolyzer system to Huadian Weifang Power Generation Co., Ltd. in Weifang, China. The project, integrated into the existing power plant, aims to produce 3.6 tons of hydrogen per day with high purity levels to enhance grid resilience and promote hydrogen adoption. The electrolyzer system comprises five 5-Megawatt stacks designed for large-scale hydrogen production. The hydrogen will be used for refueling stations and mixed with natural gas for various applications. Commissioning is set to be finished in Q1 of 2025, marking a milestone in China's efforts under the 'Hydrogen Into Ten Thousand Homes' initiative. Benny Wang, the CEO of Hygreen Energy, highlighted the importance of this project in showcasing the viability of electrolyzers for significant hydrogen projects. This development signifies a step forward in the region's renewable energy transition and supports the growth of green hydrogen across industries. Hygreen Energy continues to expand its presence in the hydrogen sector, with plans to supply a 40-megawatt electrolyzer system for another major project in China.
