Hystar AS has awarded thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering with the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the design and supply of an automated electrolyser manufacturing line at its GW factory in Høvik, Norway. This contract represents a significant step in Hystar's expansion strategy, aiming to enhance its production capabilities for electrolysers, crucial components in hydrogen production technologies. The partnership with thyssenkrupp marks a major milestone, with the new automated electrolyser manufacturing line set to increase operational efficiency and scale up capacity from 100 megawatts to a higher output. The construction of the GW electrolyser factory within a compact footprint of 2,500 square meters showcases efficient space utilization and includes stack assembly, quality control, and testing facilities. Leveraging a well-established supply chain for stack components, Hystar is poised to rapidly increase production capacity to meet market demands and achieve growth objectives.
